Frequently Asked Questions

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is the therapeutic system based on the premise that improper biomechanics, and resultant improper nerve function, affect human physiological performance, as well as the body’s repair and healing processes, and its resilience to a wide variety of environmental stressors. In essence, this defines the chiropractic physician as a neuromusculoskeletal specialist.

Why is the Nervous System So Important?

The neural tube (subsequent spinal cord) is the first embryonic developmental structure to form and “the nervous system controls and coordinates all organs and structures of the human body.

Is Chiropractic Effective?

“By Every test of cost-effectiveness, the general weight of evidence shows that chiropractic provides important therapeutic benefits at economical costs.”

- L. Schifrin, Phd.
Medical College of Virginia

M.D.s now categorize chiropractic manipulation in the highest rating: “Generally accepted, well-established, and widely used.”

- North American Spine Society

-Dr. Scott Haldeman DC, MD, Phd. Univ. Ca. Irvin

Is it safe?

The most comprehensive analysis ever done of chiropractic was done by the government of New Zealand. Their conclusion was that it was “remarkably safe.” In fact, spinal adjustments are safer than back surgery, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatories.

What Does The U.S. Government Conclude?

The U.S. Agency for Health Care Policy Research concluded that spinal adjustments are the safest drugless, initial form of treatment for acute low back problems and are recommended before surgical intervention is considered. Medicare and Medicaid insurance covers chiropractic care. Many U.S. military bases now have chiropractic physicians on base.

Why is Chiropractic Important?
